		<description>Great post! I usually call this design a “nautical star”, and Unicode calls it a “pinwheel star”, but I admit that I like the idea of naming things after Page too. I&#039;ve never really compared the variations in design between different type manufacturers. Looking that closely definitely makes you appreciate the more elaborate stars that Page showed in his big 1874 chromatic book – for example, this giant nautical “Chromatic Double Star”:

and this crazy stars-&amp;-stripes-themed “National Border”:

(I think this latter one must have been die-stamped. I can&#039;t imagine all of those angles were hand-trimmed.)
